The Kentucky Association for Career and Technical Education recently announced that Henry County High School is one of 24 high schools or career and technical/technology centers in the state to be recognized for its students’ high achievement in attaining Career Readiness.
At Henry County High School, 74% of its graduates were Career Ready for the 2016-17 school year.
In 2017, new criteria were established with the Office of Career and Technical Education to determine the recognition.
31. Top 40 school based on completion percentage or top 40 school based on preparatory percentage.
32. At least 55 percent of all graduates enrolled in CTE reached Career Readiness status.
33. Had at least 80 percent of all graduates enrolled in CTE.
Schools achieving both top 40 qualifiers will be presented with gold recognition. The balance will receive silver honors at an awards program in Louisville later in July.
