School Clubs and Extra Curricular Events

Extra-Curricular Activities and Events

Academic Team:   "Quick, knowledgeable, cool under pressure," these are just a few of the adjectives that describe the students that compete on our Academic Team.  Fourth and fifth grade students are invited to join based upon teacher recommendations.  The team competes in written tests, quick recall, and future problem solving events.  The big event is Governor's Cup Tournament that is held in the spring.  A special thank you goes out to our coaches.  Good luck!!

4-H Club: "Dog Show Club, Sewing Club, Horse Club, Cooking Club,  Speech & Demonstrations . . ." Do these sound like fun to you?  What about 4-H camp?  Fourth and fifth grade students have a monthly meeting at school.  They elect officers, participate in monthly meetings, and learn about topics of their interest.  We're very grateful to Cathy Toole for leading our clubs.

Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP): Videos, computers, animation, Power Points, web pages, . . .  These are just a few of the possibilities.  If you would enjoy working with any of these mediums, STLP is for you.  Even children as young as kindergarten have created beautiful pictures in paint or designed Power Point presentations as a class.  Talk to your teacher if you are interested.
