Welcome Back to School
My name is Kevin Redmon and I am looking forward to having your child in my class. I am a native of Louisville and I have lived in Henry County since 1993. My wife, Missy, and I have three boys. They all attend Henry County High School. Chris is a senior, Ethan is a sophomore, and Jacob is a freshman.
I have taught fifth grade at Campbellsburg for the past seven years, and I am looking forward to teaching fourth grade. This year, Campbellsburg is beginning the process of becoming a Leader in Me School. The students will learn and practice leadership and life skills based on Stephen Covey's book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
I want my students to realize learning is a lifelong, rewarding experience. Learning is hard work, but it can also be enjoyable. I expect this year to be exciting and full of new experiences.
Assignment books will be filled out daily. It will include important notes regarding the class and any homework assigned. Behavior issues will also be noted in the assignment book. Please check the assignment books daily and sign your name.
Students will receive a reading log on Monday that will be due on Friday of that week. It is essential that your child read every day and fill out their reading log. Students will also receive a homework packet on Monday and it will be due on Thursday.
Please contact me at school (845-8630), home (532-7456), cell (330-9905), or by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have any questions or concerns.
Again, I am looking forward to spending this school year with your child. Please keep in touch.
