Welcome to School Health Services. My name is Melissa Jeffries and I am the District Health Coordinator and one of the school nurses for Henry County Public Schools (HCPS). I have been a nurse for 30 years with the majority of my background in pediatrics. This is my 178h year with HCPS.
Jennifer Crabb and Sydney Hahn round out our nursing staff. Jennifer has over 20 years of experience as an RN and joined HCPS 4 years ago. Jennifer rotates daily and serves the district. Sydney joined us part time this year to primarily cover the high school and float for coverage as needed. She recently attained her nurse practitioner degree, and we are developing a new role for her in the district as a nurse practitioner.
In addition we are thrilled to have a School Health Assistant located at each school location this year. They are available daily to help students who are ill or injured and work as a vital part of our health services team:
Darlene Tipton - Campbellsburg Elementary School
Cheryl Evans - New Castle Elementary School
Savannah Woosley - Eastern Elementary School
Leanne Yancey - Henry County High School and Henry County Middle School
Please reach out to any of the members of our Health Services team if you need assistance.
